REcycle LAB is a proposal for a zero impact street entertainment, whose protagonists are the young people involved in workshop activities aimed
at re-use, recycling and environmental sustainability through the use of new technologies and waste materials. Recycle LAB is an original and innovative project aimed at fulfilling the Sustainable Development Goals
of the UN 2030 Agenda. It was developed thanks to edulife Fondazione Onlus, Verona FabLab, Mega Hub as well as with the contribution of the Department for Family Policies. Its uniqueness lies in its proposing an informal approach to conscious learning, through a wide range of zero impact interactive workshops. Topics such as ecology and environmental protection are addressed in a playful-immersive way, thanks to the support of the latest digital production technologies. The high participation rate of the activities induces those involved to reproduce the same experiences in their daily lives, experimenting them at home.
VIS - Volontariato Internazionale per lo Sviluppo - will be present at the SDB Change Congress to meet with the participants of the event and raise awareness regarding cooperation for development and international solidarity. This will be possible through a presentation of activities – both the completed as well as those on-going - in the areas of development, education and training for global citizenship. The association, founded in 1986 and promoted by the National Centre for Salesian Works (CNOS FAP Nazionale), is based upon St. John Bosco's message and his preventive education system. It operates in 40 countries worldwide: in Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and Europe. "Together, for a possible world" indicates the intention to create a network in Italy, Europe and the rest of the world to improve the living conditions of girls, boys and young people who live in vulnerable conditions and also their communities, because of the firm belief that through education and training it is possible to tackle the root causes of extreme poverty.

The project of the Salesian Agricultural School of Lombriasco and "Net4Grow" originated thanks to the collaboration between teachers of the Institute, breeders, producers, researchers and technicians of the agricultural sector, who decided to jointly establish a method to safeguard crops, animals and the environment. "Net4Grow" for the Salesian Agricultural School of Lombriasco in Italy and the network of Salesian Agricultural Schools throughout the world will serve as a technical-scientific training incubator and field test for projects dedicated to the world of agriculture, sustainable development and the Green and Circular Economy. "The objective - comments the Director of Innovative Projects in Agriculture of Net4Grow Daniel Ormeno - is that every Salesian Agricultural School throughout the world can apply the complete Format following the Concept and the experience lived and tested in Lombriasco, a project incubator".

Fr. Savio Silveira, Superior of the Salesian Province of Mumbai (INB), is the coordinator of the Don Bosco Green Alliance, and in the video he explains what its main mission is. In a typically Salesian manner, he focuses on getting young people involved in environmental action. A passionate environmentalist, expert in environmental education and staunch supporter of Laudato Si', he firmly believes that «taking care of our common home» should be a key global priority. At the SDB Change Congress we will reflect on the issue of #Sustainable #Economy, and on what we can do to increase this type of economy, examining the three components vital for sustainable development: energy, water, food and the factors that determine their demand: demographic changes, urbanization and economic growth.
At the SDB Change Congress we will be invited to reflect together to change the face of the current economy and provide a soul to the economy of tomorrow, so it can be more just, inclusive and #sustainable. As Pope Francis has stressed several times, "everything is deeply connected and that the safeguarding of the environment cannot be divorced from ensuring justice for the poor and finding answers to the structural problems of the global economy". It is necessary to improve patterns of growth that do not respect man, the environment, the dignity of the person.

P. Gerard Martin, Inspector (FIN), Our projects always need to be supported by friends, benefactors and donors. What should the Congregation do to continue receiving support? Fr. Gerard Martin, Provincial Superior of the Philippine North Province, helps us today to reflect on this question: «We definitely always need support for our projects and programmes and what we expect from the Congregation is to strengthen the networking between provinces so that we can share contacts, resources, donors and benefactors so that we can do more and we can develop more in what we do.»

The Marian Shrine is a member of the Don Bosco Green Alliance, an international movement of young people from institutions around the world under the leadership of the Salesians of Don Bosco. The Salesians, staff and young people at the Marian Shrine have established a Green Campus Committee to implement a series of initiatives. The first document, the Marian Shrine Green Initiatives, (click the link) lays out the framework for the future. Some of the plans are very exciting, such as the development of a 10-12 acre solar garden to provide power to the town. The committee includes Salesians, young adults and leaders from the Town of Haverstraw and the Town of Stony Point, the two towns in which the Marian Shrine is located. The Marian Shrine is about 38 miles north of New York City. It includes a chapel dedicated to Mary Help of Christians, a retreat center, youth center and an extensive grounds for prayer and meditation.
